Recently however, we’ve been asked by some major customers to allow them direct access to our manufacturers when price pressures on large contracts and orders dictated the absolute lowest possible prices. We facilitated those requests but many customers have been unhappy with the results. The pricing has been there but local stocking, prompt trouble-free delivery and application analysis has fallen away. Our customers and our manufacturers realized both the benefits and the downsides of ordering direct from the manufacturer. Each wanted to maintain the relationship but understood that an important piece of the puzzle was missing. That piece was EXFil.
Out of those experiences was born a new program called EXFil Direct.
We’ve gone back to our manufacturers and negotiated deep discounts for specific customers and industry segments. We’ve removed the middleman pricing but kept the services. We’re now in the position to offer manufacturer direct pricing plus most of the advantages of working with a local distributor.
